Hey there! My name is Heather Bishop and I would like to be a Game Designer, and eventually move into Narrative Design as I become a more skilled designer. Each of these projects has impacted me as a game designer, have a look around and contact me if you have any questions.

Ripple Footie [2017]

This is a completed group project from 2017 using the brief: Multiplayer physics game. I learned a great deal about brainstorming and the importance of the aesthetic feel of a game.

Software Used - Unity, Photoshop.

Development Time - 12 weeks.

Role - Game Designer/2D artist.

Team Size: 3

Ipswich Museum Interactive Timeline [2017]

This was my first project for an organisation external to the University. The experience was invaluable to my understanding of negotiating, designing and creating a project for an external body.

Software Used: Unity 2D, Photoshop

Development Time: 3 months.

Role: Game Designer, Team Lead.

Team Size: 5

Final Year Group Project [2018]

I worked on this project with a team of 3 other students, it is a puzzle game about reflecting beams of light. This game taught me about puzzle design, level design and lighting design.

Software Used: Unity, 3DS Max, Blender, Photoshop.

Development Time: 7 months.

Role: Game Designer, Narrative Designer

Final Project [2018]

This project was an exploration of creating empathy between a player, and player character. The project taught me a lot about applying theory to practise, planning and structuring projects that run for longer periods of time, and about triggering emotional responses in players.
